Most of the photographs that you see on the website, as well as the many that I have in my catalog, are available as prints. I can print up to 16 inches, on the short side, using Epson Ultrachrome inks. I now like to print on Awagami Bamboo paper, a traditional Japanese paper now available with a coating suitable for archival printing (though I do still have some sheets of Canson PrintMaking Rag and Canson Baryta if preferred).
Larger prints are printed on 22 x 17 inch (or A2) paper and produced in editions. This is not a limited edition, in the sense used for engravings, but more like editions in books. Each print is signed and numbered, and accompanied with a certificate giving the full details. Prices start at $100. Shipping, and tax if you live in Michigan, are extra.
The smaller prints, on 8.5 x 11 inch or A4 paper, are available in unlimited editions with prices starting at $20, plus shipping, plus sales tax for orders shipped to Michigan. Single prints are made on demand.
Please contact me with the name (or type) (and size) of the photograph you are interested in and I will get back to you with specifics.
print sizes
I crop my photographs to match traditional formats of whole plate (8.5 x 6.5) or 16×9 (or occasionally the even more cinematic 2.35:1), irrespective of portrait or landscape orientation. I print on sheets of paper A4/letter and A2/22×17 size. I have some standard print sizes I use for exhibiting, but when you contact me for a quote we can discuss what will work best for you.
other terms
Obviously I hope you will like your purchase. Having said that, we know there are too many variables – between me looking at the full file on my computer, you looking at a small JPEG on your computer, and you looking at a print in your hand, and you looking at it in its intended home – for me to know that you will always receive what you were looking for. If, for any reason, you are not happy with a print, you can return it, in as-new condition (within ninety days of receipt) and I will refund you the cost of the print.
Equally, if you like the print but realize a different size would work better, then if it is available, and you can return the original in as-new condition (within ninety days of receipt), I can send you another print for the difference in the cost plus shipping.
